E. C. Ortiz & Co., LLP was established in Chicago as a sole proprietorship in 1974. The firm was restructured to become a limited liability partnership in 2003.
The firm is licensed to do business as a CPA firm in the State of Illinois and has extensive experience of over forty (40) years in accounting, auditing and management consulting and tax services and over twenty (20) years in federal, State and local government audit services including financial audit and compliance examination in accordance with the Office of the Auditor General’s State Audit Guide, the Single Audit Act and the Uniform Guidance. The firm has been a major team member in the completion of several State agencies’ financial audit and compliance examinations since 1989. The firm is a member of the AICPA's Governmental Audit Quality Center.
